Businesses can go through sluggish periods, but there are a lot of great ways to prevent stagnation, be more productive, and even turn that slowdown around so you increase business revenue. For some types of businesses, a slowdown can be cyclical and follow a specific pattern. For others, it can be seasonal, such as the summer. No matter what time it happens, it can be stressful.

Here are some hot tips to keep you cool!

1. Special Marketing Campaigns

Take a new look at what you currently offer and how you present it. Is there is a new audience that you can target? Are there different mediums that you can use? Find out what’s trending on Social Media and see if you can jump on the bandwagon and tailor a special promotion to fit the trend. Offering sizzling savings can amp up your business productivity, increasing business revenue!

2. Reconnect

Touch base with your existing client base. Those are people you’ve already worked with, who have purchased your services or products in the past. They should be nurtured and given thanks. Summer is a perfect time to send a snail-mail card or call each person directly to say thanks for choosing your business.

Communication can drop when we are super busy. Whenever you have downtime, it's a good time to follow up and see how current and past clients are doing. It reminds them that you are around and what you have to offer. Consider a loyalty or repeat customer incentive to boost your business. Or let them know about that special summer promotion you have going.  This genuine attention can prompt a new order.

3. Re-evaluate and Strategize

This is a great time to look at what systems you have in place. What's working and what's not. Is there a better way for you to work smarter that you have been thinking about, or heard of, but were too busy to try?
